The STRCUU Project

The Strengthening Teaching and Research Capacities in recently established Ugandan Universities to deliver climate change resilience and green energy solutions to farming communities- (STRCUU). The Project aims to strengthen the capacity of young universities in Uganda to contribute meaningfully to national and regional climate resilience efforts. Through enhanced training, research, and international collaboration, the project seeks to equip higher education institutions with the tools and expertise needed to support farming communities facing increasing climate-related challenges.

Project Four Major Action Areas:

Education

Adjustment of the university academic programs to support training and research that addresses climate change energy crisis

Training and Research

Enhancement of the delivery of training and research in climate change resilience and green energy solutions to farming and associated industries

Policy Makers and Industry

Promotion of strong collaboration among newly established universities and stakeholders (including policy makers and industry) to foster effective climate change management and green energy solutions

Resilience and Solutions

Enhancement of inclusiveness in accessing climate change resilience and green energy solutions in universities
